Beirut was a bit of a surprise to me..
I had no idea what I was in for... way more than expected!!
It's an inspiring gem. Creative, cool, filled with history, hidden gems, super sleek on the one side and super rough textures concrete and steel on the other side. Amazing architecture and delicious food... it gave me a complete L.A vibe! With valet parking and everything ;-)
A truly inspiring city!

A mini travel journal...
Liza - delicious food and amazing setting
Bo18 - incredible architecture by Bernard Khoury and the most famous club
Centrale - go for drinks, and check out the architecture done by Bernard Khoury
Walk around Mar Mikhael, area and check out Tawlet, The Fooddealer, Olso for Ice Cream Coffee at Kalei, Tartine,... and some little shops scattered around.
Heavy shopping around the Beirut Souks... and don't think of souks in the marrakech way... this is another level... check out stores like Le66 / Aishti / Trunk / all the major brands /....
and grab some lunch from Meat the Fish.

Visit things like the Aishi by the sea Fondation, Le Sporting, the grotto's, Byblos, head to Tripoli to check out some Oscar Niemeyer if you have the time..

Anyway... just get the map!
It's all on there!

Oh yeah... and forgot to mention the obvious...
Eat!
Lots!
Fattoush, Babaganoush, Sumac on everything, rose water, white coffee, and all the other things I cant pronounce...
